Surrey Workplace Mental Health Forum
Join our team and a group of experts to delve into workplace mental health. Hosted by Surrey charity Oakleaf Enterprise and Surrey Chambers of Commerce at Guildford Cathedral on Wednesday 16th November, the live event brings together prominent advocates and experts to help guide Surrey businesses through a critical topic.
The event will help business leaders learn about strategies to address the stigma of mental health, support employees and explore real life experiences from a business who are implementing a four-day week.
A panel of experts
With a panel of experts including Dr. Jenny Leeser MBBS MRCP(UK) FFOM; Geoff McDonald, former Global VP of HR for Unilever and Chris Morell, Ops Director at ProDrive IT (who are currently moving to a four-day week) the event runs from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
Occupational Health Assessment Ltd is proud to support Oakleaf Enterprise, a charity offering a range of services to empower people to gain the skills, training and confidence needed to manage their mental health and return to work
Mental health at work
Addressing mental health at work has never been more important. One in six employees are experiencing mental ill-health at any one time. Stress, anxiety and depression were responsible for half of all working days lost due to health issues in the UK in 2021; and 39% of employees have experienced poor mental health due to work, or where work was a contributing factor, in the past year.
The good news is evidence shows tackling workplace mental health is possible. Doing so can drive a positive return on investment to the employer, increases employee wellbeing and productivity and reduces attrition.
