A fast paced, fun, and informative session to start our morning from guest speaker Steve Herbert. Steve will take a sideways look at the national poll and consider what it may mean for employment, HR, and employee benefits provision. Topics covered will include political noise and commitments around employment issues, The Occupational Health Taskforce, possible pension changes, employee financial wellbeing, and absence management. Getting clear advice from occupational health can sometimes be a frustrating process for employers. Topic expert Magnus Kauders will consider the potential challenges and provide delegates with a toolbox of tips and tricks to transform your occupational health outcomes. A look at whether the result of the General Election will help or hinder this process will also be included. (10.30am – 10.40am)

With the election imminent, Matt Jenkin, Employment partner at Herrington Carmichael, will look at the manifesto promises of the major parties in relation to employment law issues. Matt will also consider ongoing employment law changes including the new positive duty on employers to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace, and the reform of fit notes. A must attend session for all delegates. (10.40am – 10.55am)
